Google unintentionally unveils Pixel 3a on its official website

The Google Pixel 3a made an appearance on the Google Store before being removed in stride. This is the first time that the company evokes the smartphone, confirming its existence. At the same time, a Russian leaker has released photos of a prototype of the Pixel 3a.

A few months ago, copies of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL were already on sale before their officialization. We are not there yet for the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, but the leaks have already almost all unveiled smartphones. The last one comes from Google itself. The firm has published "by mistake" a link to the pixel 3a on its official store.

The Google Pixel 3a confirmed on the Google Store

It's the 9to5Google site, always on the lookout for the slightest clue, who spotted a link mentioning the Google Pixel 3a on the official Google Store, but the link was pointing to a blank page. However, it does not need more to confirm the existing smartphone that had not been commented on by Google, unlike the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL that the firm has mentioned at least two times.

The Google Pixel 3a is a mid-range smartphone that could be offered at $450. Part of its features and those of the Pixel 3a XL have recently leaked. Google would have chosen the Snapdragon 670 processor to animate the two models announced with a screen of 5.6 inches and 6 inches respectively. The SoC would be accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and a 3000 mAh battery for the Pixel 3a. And as usual with Google, these new smartphones would be equipped with a single photo module at the back (12 MP) against 8 MP for selfies.

Finally, the Russian leaker Rozetked recently released some photos of a supposed Google Pixel 3a. Here below is what the smartphone could look like. As for the official presentation, it should take place in the context of the next Google / io which takes place on May 7, 2019.
