Google announces the arrival of a new feature very convenient in Google Photos. This is one of the improvements that the company announced during its Google I / O 2018 developer conference. So a new feature is appearing "Crop and adjust" or Crop and adjust (the original name, which we do not know not yet the official translations). The idea is to reduce the number of steps needed to scan and crop receipts and other documents.

Many users take photos of their receipts for their archives. Google Photos will now help make them more readable and better presented. According to the official account of Google, this feature appears in the suggested actions, along with other proposals. When Google Photo recognizes a receipt or other document with text, a "Crop and Adjust" option is automatically offered at the bottom of the screen.
Touch the action and a new optimized editor for the documents opens. Photos automatically crop the document to remove the background and cut the edges for a cleaner result. It is also possible to adjust the corners manually. However, this feature does not automatically change the orientation of the document - which must be done by hand. A "Color" option allows the document to be black and white to make the document even more readable.
It also remains possible to "press and hold to compare" the original with the edited image. Once the result is satisfactory, the user validates by touching Save. Google advertises via the Google Photos Twitter account that the update is being deployed server side, and should therefore appear in your application if it is not already the case in the coming days. It is nevertheless better to check that you are under the latest version of the application.
