Google took advantage of Google I / O 2019 to unveil a new version of Google Assistant. This time, the voice assistant is directly integrated with your Android smartphone. It is therefore possible to communicate with him even if you do not have an internet connection. Google says that the intelligent assistant only weighs 500 MB despite all its new features, against 100 GB at the beginning of development. The firm therefore announces that it has made an effort to reduce the weight of the assistant.
Google launches a new version of Google Assistant: the wizard is faster than ever
"The next-generation Google Assistant can understand and process your requests up to 10 times faster, making it easier than ever to use your smartphone, multitasking, and even writing emails," says Mountain View firm on his Twitter account.
As we saw in the Google demo, orders are now linked much faster. Similarly, it is no longer necessary to restart the wizard with the Ok Google command. Currently, the wizard, even on Google Home speakers, can not yet switch from one query to another unless it is an action in the same context. It is for example possible to start a music and to lower the sound but not to launch a title and to set a timer in stride.
Unsurprisingly, this new version of Google Assistant will enter the end of 2019 with future Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. What do you think of this conference? Did this new Google Assistant seduce you? We are waiting for your opinion.
