The 2019 batch of the iPhone could catch up in energy: According to the Japanese site Macotakara, information very often reliable, the next generation of phones from Apple would benefit from a new charger and a new internal electrical circuit to to offer - finally! - fast charging to its users. If the iPhone can already take advantage of the chargers iPad (12 W) and those of some Macbook (out 15 inches), the speed gain is not as important as that many Chinese and Korean smartphones.
What does this entail
When an Oppo Find X goes from 0% to 100% in just 33 minutes, it takes more than three hours to charge an iPhone X with the original charger. To speed up the process, Apple would not use USB C as it has already done with iPad Pro. In its place, Apple would maintain the Lightning but with a more powerful charger and a more powerful cable - delivered with the device. The electrical circuitry and battery type built into the phone would be developed to take advantage of this new energy chain.
This evolution would also allow the future iPhone to serve as an external battery via the wireless charging system integrated back. Users could thus reload AirPods and Apple Watch not simple contact with the phone.
The context
In the ruthless arena of smartphones, the iPhone is lagging behind in terms of energy: the various Android competitors (Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, OnePlus, etc.) have long since developed ultra-fast charging technologies, charging third party devices with or without a wire. Apple would only catch up here, but it already sounds like great news for fans of the brand.
