Rumors around the release of one or two new Nintendo Switch intensify. A new report from the Wall Street Journal says that the Japanese manufacturer plans to launch two other models of its hybrid console in the summer of 2019. The American newspaper quotes sources "close to the record." These should be presented at E3, the world video game show.
A more powerful Nintendo Switch and another more affordable
One of these consoles would include an improved version of the Switch that we know now. This one would suit the most demanding players with rising performances. Not enough to compete with the PS4 Pro or Xbox One X, but it's not really what we ask the console. Previous echoes evoking a Nintendo Switch Pro also mentioned the presence of a better screen.
The second model to disembark is a version Lite (or Mini), less expensive but less well equipped. It would position itself as a natural substitute to the 3DS, which reaches the end of life, the focus is put on its portable aspect. It is quite possible that this cheaper switch is smaller than the standard model. Moreover, the WSJ tells us that we can expect surprises in terms of design. According to the report, Switch Lite will be deprived of HD Rumble, the Switch's realistic vibration technology. It is not accepted that it can be used as a home console.
