With the continued acceleration in demand for new technologies for artificial intelligence and taking into account the possibilities of its application in the fields of technology is wide and revolutionary, the world's largest technology companies have only had to help each other in accelerating this development.
In September, 2016, the Partnership on AI (to Benefit People and Society), a collaborative and collaborative group for the development of artificial intelligence technology, was established by IBM, Facebook, Google, IBM and Microsoft as founding members, Apple, Twitter, Intel, Baidu are all part of the group.
A report from the Bloomberg magazine shows that Apple will officially join the group as a founding member and will be announced in the next few days as a company spokesman declined to comment.
Apple is joining the group to launch joint, open-source research projects with the rest of the group to develop artificial intelligence technologies exponentially. This is something that all member companies need, especially before such partnerships. This area is not issued with an open license.
The report says that this move is mainly in favor of Apple and will enable it to employ and exploit the brightest minds in this area, especially as some member companies are very sophisticated in the field compared to Apple.
The group also has six new members who will be a strong supporter of the group for their contributions to this field:
Dario Amodei from OpenAI
Subbarao Kambhampati of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence & ASU
Deirdre Mulligan of UC Berkeley
Carol Rose from American Civil Liberties Union
Eric Sears of MacArthur Foundation
Jason Furman of Peterson Institute of International Economics
