NATO: we have more than 500 attacks per month from Hackers

Nato
NATO has become a target for more hackers from around the world day after day. A NATO spokesman said this week that Al-Anato receives an average of 500 cyber attacks per month.

NATO spokesman Oana Lungescu told CNN that the organization recorded an increase of about 60 percent in the number of attacks last year (2018) compared to 2017.

NATO is conducting several investigations, but in most cases it is a failure as it is very difficult to identify the pirates.

The newspaper quoted Lungescu as saying:
"Foreign governments, criminals and terrorists can all be a source of cyber attacks, but proving it is often difficult"
 The spokesman added:
"But of course, countries have the greatest resources in the Internet and are responsible for most of the attacks against NATO networks."

North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has decided to deal with cyber attacks as seriously as conventional armed attack, warning that foreign pirates are constantly trying to penetrate NATO member governments, and may face a response from the entire alliance under the common defense Article 5.

Russia is often believed to be the main actor behind cyber attacks against governments. The United States has criticized the Kremlin for trying to disrupt the election process that eventually led to the election of President Donald Trump.
