According to information provided by Chinese suppliers of Apple, the next iPhone XR will be equipped with a dual photo sensor, reports the Japanese blog Macotakara. As a reminder, the first generation had to be satisfied with a unique rear photo sensor. In our test of the iPhone XR, we had been pleasantly surprised by its results. The camera has nothing to envy to the dual module of the iPhone XS and XS Max.
The future iPhone XR would have a dual camera sensor iPhone XS way
Nevertheless, Apple would have decided to equip its next iPhone at a reduced price of a configuration composed of 2 sensors. According to Macotakara, the smartphone would have a dual rear sensor similar to the one already equipped iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. This "recycling" would allow the American manufacturer to reduce production costs.
On the back of the iPhone XR second generation, we would find a main sensor 12 megapixel wide angle and a second 12 MP sensor with telephoto. The smartphone would be accompanied by an optical zoom X2 and the same portrait mode as iPhone XS. It's not really a surprise. This year, Apple decided to put the package on photography to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Huawei's P30. The iPhone XI and XI Max would be equipped with a triple photo sensor arranged in a square like the Huawei Mate 20.
In these conditions, it is hard to imagine the company release a new smartphone that is still satisfied with a single photo sensor. Moreover, the future iPhone XR would be similar to its predecessor, with the same LCD screen of 6.1 inches topped with a large notch. What do you think of Apple's plans for 2019?
