Facebook may be forced to remove the LIKE button because of Britain demands

The Office of the Data Regulatory Authority (ICO) in the UK launched yesterday a petition to Facebook to remove the option of "admiration", especially addressed to the youngest in the country.

Facebook may be forced to remove the LIKE button because of Britain demands

Specifically, what they asked Facebook was not to allow this option to be selected for those under the age of 18 to avoid tracking them, collecting their personal data, knowing their preferences and information about their personal lives, to direct and show ads to them.

This recommendation is only one of the more than 16 recommendations requested by ICO from Facebook and other social networks used by mostly young people, such as Snape Chat and who have also asked them to check out the "Streak" option, which works in a similar way to the Facebook button. Tweets and "Tweets" in Instagram are also in the spotlight.

It has been shown that the use of social networks generates in our body an excess of dopamine, a fun hormone, every time someone gives us "admiration" for our publications, which is why they can be the cause of addiction generation among the younger.

Now the ball is among the top tech who will have to accept the offer of this British organization or direct deaf to those recommendations that may initially seem unpopular.
