Windows 10: the April 2019 update arrives, but only 26.4% of PCs are up-to-date

Windows 10 will soon be entitled to its first major update of the year 2019, that of April. Microsoft is playing big after the failure of the October 2018 version, which had many bugs and whose deployment was even suspended for several weeks. Moreover, it is only installed on 26.4% of PCs.

While the April 2019 update of Windows 10 is expected to come out of beta and land in a few weeks, AdDuplex is releasing its report on the status of installations of the different versions of the OS. And the report is not very good. Several months after its release, the O18U version (1809) is only installed on 26.4% of computers, a particularly low rate.

We already reported that the update of October 2018 was present on 21% of the PCs in February 2019. In 30 days, the situation has therefore changed very little. Users are not trying to get the latest version of the OS and Microsoft is not particularly pushing to impose it.

It must be said that the firm of Redmond has seen all the colors with this version. The roll-out of the October 2018 update was re-launched in January 2019 after several weeks of suspension, allowing time to correct many issues. There was a bug in the media player, the files of some users had been deleted, among other things.

It is hoped that the next major update will be more successful. We expect the arrival of a clear theme for Windows 10, a little at odds with the current dark themes. But also news about Cortana and the Android Phone Screen feature to use the applications of his mobile on the PC. We remember that the update of April 2018 was planting PCs equipped with certain models of SSD. This time is the good?
