Galaxy Fold: Does Samsung really cancel pre-orders?

Has Samsung really decided to cancel the pre-orders of its Galaxy Fold? In the United States, the South Korean manufacturer has in any case made the decision to automatically cancel past pre-orders unless against indication of buyers. What about France and the rest of the world? We take stock.

In the course of April 2019, Samsung announced to postpone the release of its Galaxy Fold, the device that was to be the first folding smartphone on the market. Galaxy Fold: Samsung allows US customers to cancel their pre-order

The South Korean manufacturer has sent an email to its American customers to let them know that it continues to work hard to improve the Galaxy Fold, reports Droid Life. The brand claims to be making progress, but is still unable to communicate a date of availability accurately. For the moment, we still do not know when the foldable smartphone will be marketed.

Faced with this lack of information and this blur on the situation, Samsung allows US consumers to cancel their pre-order unconditionally. Those placing an order are invited to contact Samsung to confirm their purchase and their willingness to purchase the smartphone. Without a response from them by May 31, 2019, the manufacturer will automatically cancel the pre-order. Samsung USA manages the file rather well. By doing so with transparency and honesty and ensuring a flawless product, the subsidiary should be able to avoid the wrath of consumers.
