iTunes, the well-known and frustrating multimedia software from Apple, may well disappear. The Cupertino company is in the process of preparing new applications to replace it, reports 9To5Mac. Entitled Music, TV and Podcasts, they would even be available on the next major release of macOS learn. Users will no longer have all their content in one place, but it will be better highlighted, the goal is to improve the user experience.

Apple would like to put iTunes to death

The Music application should notably strengthen its links with the Apple Music service which has just passed in front of Spotify in the United States. The TV app should leave a lot of room for Apple TV + officialized at the end of March 2019. The SVOD service that will compete with Netflix with its plethora of original productions should be widely put forward here. As far as literature is concerned, a separate Books app is already available, but it should have a design change.

That Apple leaves out iTunes is not a surprise. The software released in 2001 has often been decried and is starting to get old. He is even major now. And the brand with the apple put more and more on the services, we have been able to note it these last years and even more particularly during the keynote of March. Among the media that are missing, we can also remember that video games will land in force in its ecosystem with Apple Arcade.
