In September 2019, Apple will present a new range of iPhone. To accompany its new flagships, the firm at Apple will deploy a new version of its operating system, which will be unsurprisingly entitled iOS 13. Apple will unveil the new features of its mobile OS at the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference), which will open on June 3, 2019. For the most impatient, our 9to5Mac colleagues got their hands on some crunchy information.
A dark mode inspired by macOS Mojave for iOS 13
For starters, Apple would have decided to integrate in iOS 13 a dark mode reminiscent of macOS Mojave, the operating system of Mac. This Dark Mode would apply to all the interface of the iPhone and iPad. All applications, whether Apple or third-party applications, should be able to benefit natively.
As a reminder, the dark mode makes it possible to reduce the energy consumption of the battery and the OLED screen but also to preserve the most sensitive eyes, especially in the dark. This is also the case for the dark mode of Android Q. It is not known if this mode can be activated automatically or if it will be dynamic, as on MacOS. Suspense!
A new multitasking for iPad
Apple would also work on a new multitasking for iPads. With iOS 13, it would be possible to open multiple windows from the same application, as on a Macbook. The latest news, the firm would rather call these windows "cards" on iOS. These cards can be moved anywhere on your screen. Like on a computer, you can drag a map into a corner of your interface. With this novelty, Apple wants (still) to bring the iPad to a PC.
The volume change is finally more discreet
The icon that indicates the change in volume will finally be reduced. Finish the imposing gray square that appears for a few seconds each time you want to lower or increase the sound of your iPhone or iPad. Apple has finally realized how annoying this icon can be when playing a video or screen shot. 9to5Mac does not specify what shape the new icon will take.

An application mail review: finally!
Apple will finally rework the default integrated mail application to iPhone and iPad. With iOS 13, Mail will sort messages according to new categories, like advertisements, trips or important. You can also postpone the reading of an email to later.
A new gesture to cancel an action
To cancel any action on iOS 12 and earlier, you must shake your iPhone or iPad vigorously. Aware that this feature is not to everyone's taste, Apple will propose a new gesture with iOS 13.
View desktop version of a site on Safari
On iPad, we find ourselves too often to surf a website offered in mobile version if no responsive version has been implemented. With iOS 13, Safari will prioritize the desktop version rather than the mobile version.
A native font manager
The firm Tim Cook wants to facilitate the addition of a new font to iOS. A management interface will be added in the Settings application. For the moment, it is still necessary to go through the profiles of iOS, which is not within the reach of everyone.
That's not all. Apple has also improved the option "say Siri", which allows to summon the assistant to the voice, and facilitated the management of several elements simultaneously. It would be enough to slide 3 fingers forward or back to move a handful of applications or files. The first beta of iOS 13 will be proposed in the wake of WWDC in June. What do you think of these novelties?
