Galaxy S10: Camera Night mode is available, how to install the update

The Galaxy S10 gets a real night mode for its camera. This new feature comes as an update, currently being deployed. Through this mode, you will succeed in breathtaking shots even if the brightness is lacking.

Samsung is currently deploying a new update on the Galaxy S10 in Switzerland, report our fellow SamMobile. As rumors have it, this update marks the long-awaited arrival of Night Mode for the camera. Unsurprisingly, it also contains the April 2019 security patch.

Prior to the update, the S10s were already enjoying an automatic "night mode". Depending on the amount of light perceived, the smartphone automatically adjusted its settings, including exposure, to succeed in low light photos.

Now you can actively choose the option yourself, which looks much more practical. Once installed, this mode makes it easier to shoot pictures taken in low light conditions. Just activate the feature directly in the photo application of your smartphone, in the options next to Panorama, Pro, Food or Portrait.

The update is currently being deployed. Depending on your country of residence, you may have to wait longer or shorter. To check if the update is already available on your Galaxy S10, S10e and S10 +:

    Make sure you have enough battery before starting the operation, which can be long.
    Go to the Settings menu
    Tap on "About the device"
    Now select "Software Update"
    If available, choose "Start Update" and follow the instructions provided by your S10

Thanks to this night mode deployed late, Samsung hopes that its Galaxy S10 will be able to stand up to the Google Pixel 3 XL and Huawei P30 Pro, which are for the moment more convincing in low light. What do you think of this mode? Have you received the update?
