After eight years of existence, Google+ is no longer accessible to users who have registered on the platform. Recall that the social network has never managed to attract users who allowed it to survive. Google had no other choice but to close its service. The discovery of a security breach accelerated things. But Google+ is not completely dead. If the general public can no longer access their account, companies continue to enjoy the platform. At least what's left of it. Indeed, Google has only decided to close the consumer version. The platform continues to exist under the name of Currents.
Google announced the rollout of Currente Beta at its Cloud Next 2019 conference. A G Suite app that allows members of an organization to chat and interact. Google states that "Currents wants to give managers the opportunity to communicate with their employees." He wants everyone in a company to communicate.

Currents, the corporate social network
Currents succeeds Google+. It benefits from features inspired by the latter. However, the Mountain View firm wants to give a new look to the successor to Google+. Currents will be a social network serving companies with interesting features for them. This social network wants to rub the service like Facebook Workplace to be an essential communication platform between the same members of an organization. "All of your company's Google+ content will automatically be transferred to Currents once you sign up for the beta," says the search giant.
