On paper, the iPhone XS Max shares the same specifications as last year's iPhone X, which scored 97 points. This new handset features two 12-megapixel cameras at the back with an optical stabilizer. The main camera has a wide-angle shooter with a wide angle with a f / 1.8 slot, while the secondary camera has an AF / 2.4 lens that provides 2x optical zoom.
In fact, the iPhone XS and XS Max use a newer sensor that offers a size greater than 1.4 microns, compared to 1.22 microns in the previous model. This will deliver better performance in low-light environments, and dynamic range is also enhanced with the Smart HDR feature. After evaluating more than 1,500 2-hour photos and videos, the DxoMark gave the iPhone XS Max a 105 degree, 2-point higher than the HTC U12 +, which ranked third but less than 4 points from Huawei's top-end camera, P20 Pro.
