As WABetaInfo mentioned, Whatsapp developers are already working on animated stickers on both Android and iOS, although they will also work on both Whatsapp-enabled tablets and the Web version of the app.
The source also states that poster creators may include standard stickers and animations in the same package, so it will not be necessary to install a separate package for use.
WABetaInfo shared some examples of how these new animated posters appear, which appear similar to the idea that Google has applied with its Allo application and animated stickers, so there is no doubt that these animated stickers will be a good way to decorate our conversations.
