As a patent filed with the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) shows, Korean manufacturer Samsung is working on a fully wireless TV concept. This TV would be powered by induction, and the display of external sources would be provided by a radio connection. The power source would be a kind of sound bar placed on the TV stand a few tens of centimeters below the TV. She would feed the TV without any wires. The latter would be placed on the wall like a simple painting. This is not stated in the patent, but it is also assumed that the external sources would connect to this soundbar (and therefore power) in order to send the video signals by a wireless signal.

Filed February 28, 2019, the patent is still fresh and the first concepts of wireless TVs should not be visible before the end of the year, even the CES in January 2020. The Korean manufacturer is working more and more on integration of its televisions. Last year, he made a name for himself with his OneConnect system that powers the TV and sends video signals using a single, relatively thin cable, up to 15 meters in length. At the end of the year, this system made its appearance on The Frame 2.0, the Samsung TV that comes to blend in the scenery, becoming much easier to install. This year, The Frame 3.0 will finally inherit a Qled panel with an extended color space and a higher brightness peak.
